Holley Pro Dash layout questions
›Which dashes does Gauge Garage work with?
The Holley EFI Pro Dash in both sizes, 12.3 inch and 6.86 inch, including the standalone versions. Both sizes use the same screen resolution, so one layout works on either. The designer warns you when text will be too small on the 6.86.
›Does it work with the older Holley 7 inch or 5 inch dash?
Not right now. Gauge Garage makes layouts for the Pro Dash only. The older 7 inch and 5 inch Holley dashes use a different screen size.
›Does it work with my Holley ECU?
Yes. The Pro Dash works with Holley HP, Dominator, Terminator X, Terminator X Max, Sniper and Sniper 2. Some readings only exist on certain systems. For example, a Sniper doesn't read oil pressure, so that gauge needs its own sensor.
›Is it free?
Yes, everything is free during the beta, and you don't need an account.
›How big is the Holley 12.3 dash? How about the 6.86?
Holley lists the 12.3 inch Pro Dash at about 11.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches tall, and the 6.86 inch at about 7.6 inches wide by 3.4 inches tall. Check Holley's mounting template before you cut anything.
›Can I change the needle color or style?
No. The dash draws the needles itself, and they're red. You can design everything around them: gauge faces, numbers, colors, chrome rings and logos.
›Can I use my own fonts, logo or a photo of my car?
Yes. Logos, text and background photos are part of the picture behind the gauges, so they can look however you want. The live numbers the dash draws use its own built-in font. Only use logos and photos you have the right to use.
›How do I add a fuel level gauge?
Wire your fuel level sender to one of the Pro Dash's inputs and set it up on the dash. In the designer, add a gauge with the E, 1/2, F scale. Then either enter that input as a custom channel, or pick the input for that gauge on the dash after you load the layout.
›Can I edit the layout that's on my dash now?
Yes. Save the screen from the dash to a USB stick (Customize, Layout, Export), then open that file in the designer. Round gauges, digital readouts, bar graphs, warning lights and the shift light bar come in. The background picture isn't part of that file, so upload it separately if you want it.
›Can this mess up my dash?
Loading a layout only replaces one screen, and it doesn't change the dash's software. Back up first (Utilities, Backup Configuration) and you can put your old screens back any time.
›Can I send a layout to the dash over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
No. The Pro Dash loads layouts from a USB stick, so you download the layout and copy it over.
›Where are my designs saved?
In your web browser, automatically. Click Save design to download a copy you can open later or on another computer.
›Are you part of Holley?
No. Gauge Garage is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Holley Performance Products. Holley, Pro Dash, Terminator X, Sniper and Racepak are trademarks of their respective owners.
